Great job,i have used the old realistic water that you had to heat and melt,but the foam core would buckle and warp,I finally figured howto do it right ,but this is much
.easier,thanx again. |

YES! I've been trying to remember your youtube name so i could add a link to your stuff on my blog. I used info from you overview of water effects video to make my recent rivers: stepphenthomson.blogspot.ca used a super heavy gel medium to make 18+ feet of river. Cheers mate |

Also, i should mention that after using the water effects from woondland scenics, be very careful with what you apply it to. i made some foam terrain boards years back with built in rivers. covered the bottom of the river in wood glue to seal the foam, hten sanded and painted it, nad allowed several days to dry before applying teh water effects. several months later, hte water effects started to buble, badly. the storage space was fainrly consistant at just a little below room temperature and average indoor mositer(for around here). if i ever do it again I'll be using clear smooth on resin. dries as solid as plastic. you can get it to have a potlife from 90 seconds to 40 minutes. In Canada it's about 26 dollars for a 2-pound kit. |
