Command Horizon has been bought from Baccus 6mm by Wargames Emporium. At the last two UK wargame shows that I have attended, they have put on a small participation game to get public involvement and feedback on their quick play rules that they are developing for the range (together with new alien types).

The demo is on a 8 x 9 hex grid, but I understand this is to actually make the demonstration user friendly and quick, so that punters can sit down and have a quick game without eating into their day at the show. A gridless ruleset is in development.

Anyway, the chap from Wargames Emporium was really enthusiastic and friendly and I would recommend anyone seeing them at a show, take the chance to rest your legs for a bit and see what they are doing. The next time I walked past him, a young girl was mobilising her strike force – so dads, this game might get the kids to your wargames table – looks like good fun for everyone of all ages.

Glad to see CH is being revitalized. I really enjoyed playing it.

I would love to see a quick play set of rules with at least the option it being hex based.

Good news – What would be *better* news is some indication of when the miniatures will be released. Not really a collector of rules sets, I am however always on the lookout for interesting minis and this line promises two new more aliens as well as the already fantastic Centaurs and Bloodworms.

Any ideas on a timeline, or are Wargames Emporium wanting to have a 'complete package' release ( Rules and models ) here?

Yeah, I'm more interested in the miniatures than a new rules system… but new 6mm scifi rules would probably catch some of my attention.

Hi,
All of the packs for the original set of rules are available from our website here: wargamesemporium.co.uk

We're re-organising the packs to be in line with the new rules and will be taking them to trade shows with us (hopefully getting them on-line as soon as we can). We've got plenty of masters to work from for the unreleased miniatures as well as lots of stuff that is completely new!

Those of you coming to Salute will be able to get a first look at the new faction for Command Horizon. If you can't make it never fear, as we will be posting pictures up on the web.

Bloodworms are on my list of "Missed them twice, not missing this time…"

Centaurs are on my list for that, Recovered 1AO – Love the alien yet practical hovers in that range as well as nonhuman aliens :)

None of the large units that were originally available for humans , centaurs or the ZZith are there. I would love to see their return.

lyle, emailed the new CH owner, he got a reply – "Thanks for the continued interest in Command Horizon.

The large grey cities will need redesigning a bit to make them more mould friendly. So we have 1 or 2 left but there will be some time before we can do anything with them.
There will be large walkers at some point for all races. Again the design needs to change.
We might continue with the large tunneller worms.

All the above will take the most time I'm afraid.

We are going through the moulds and will make use of some of them that Baccus didn't use or stopped using.
For example we have some new human type infantry.

Of the two races the ork type (most have an ork feel rather than looking like them) will have pictures out soon. Hoping to show the first few vehicles off at Salute in about 4 weeks.
The other race contained lots of flyers, not looked to much into them at the moment.

We are working on a complete new race which we will hopefully have out before the end of the year. More details will follow.

We are also working on some new rules which we will be looking for playtesters soon.

It is taking us a long time to go through all the Command Horizon range, we are hoping as this year goes on to promote and push the range.

If you have Facebook you can follow progress here link
Regular updates will be appearing imminently.

I have hopefully answered all your questions and no doubt left you with others. "

Orkish and Flyer species? I am curious. . . Good news anyway!
