Hi

Following on from my battle report yesterday, here is an overview of the Fireteam Andromeda system. Hope it's of some use.

Question about the FA rules: Are you moving squads of ~9-13 (like in 40k) or teams of 4-7 (like in Ambush Alley)?

I'm looking for a set of SciFi rules that's roughly Flames of War (or Dirtside) scale: moving by platoon. Suppose I could translate DS2 up to 15mm scale by futzing with groundscale.

The most common units are allowed 4 – 12 men. If you take big units, you will have fewer of them and, in turn, fewer command points which is a big deal.

Big units are very susceptible to mortar weapons. As there is a 1" coherency rule. That said, they can put out a lot of firepower provided you can find a big open space to fire from.

Taking just one casualty in such a squad might tie up a lot of men if they fail morale.

It's swings and roundabouts.

Thanks for the overview, have had the rules for a while and just never got around to trying them out. Hoping this can fill the gap that Gruntz hasnt
