Do you recommend any Sci-Fi games that will effectively deal with large tables and large forces? I've got hundreds of sci-fi models collecting dust. They need a (not 40K) set of rules that'll deal with 100+ models and a few vehicles a side. I'd hope the rules have stats for aliens, power armor, jetbikes, big walking things, and maybe even zombies. I've heard Tomorrow's War can bog down with too many units taking reaction tests. I think Victory Decision Future Combat was designed for smaller games. 40K has too much hand to hand for my taste. thanks in advance |

Dirtside II can handle all that pretty well, except for the aliens part. |

VOID 1.1 has rules for all those. Free downloads as well. You'd need to reach down to the original ruleset for the walkers – they'd be Korvus attack or Tiger transport walkers (all human factions use them.) They were discontinued when VOID decide to go a different direction, but I've still used them in games – not broken. You'd need some house rule options for the zeds (it's such a simple and fast-playing ruleset, it's not hard drum up house rules for the unanticipated.) |

VOID is not an open system tho, even if the forces are somewhat generic in places and it even has an unofficial but somewhat reasonable points costing system that should still be floating around the 'net somewhere. The same goes for Warpath mentioned in the LAF thread by the same OP here link with the exception that the force lists are more generic still to start with (at least provided you have lots of Wh40k minis) and it lacks even rudimentary tools to make your own troops. Swatters OTOH, while it needs a bit of work to do stuff other than Starship Troopers, basically is at least supposed to work with any miniatures and it does play really quickly, even with novice players. |

FUBAR absolutely! No points system but can handle most anything, rules-wise. Swatted looks good but I've personally not played it. Going back to FUBAR, I just played a game using over sixty minis per side and some battlesuits, one mecha and a Baneblade. I recommend using platoon level activations rather than individual squad activations. |

about a point system for FUBAR
I am experimenting this formula: Activation probability + (To hit probability x Nr of FPs at max range) + (Range : 8) + Armour save probability = miniature cost probabilities are a number from 1 to 6; for example a Green soldier has an Activation probability = 2 and a To hit probability = 1 |

Thanks everyone. I need to download a bunch of rules and try them all out. |

Deserter, plz keep us posted! My buddy started working on a point system but found vehicles were a difficult thing to calculate. |
