link I've blown statistics to hell with my dice rolling. I don't think there's anyone else on the planet with my consistently bad luck. Others like Sapper Joe, Combat Colours, and Hostile Contact can testify to to it
God, if I could only roll average, I'd be happy! Blake |

Your blog link says you are quitting (for now)
How many times have you said that, Blake? LOL We all say it about some rules/line of miniatures/era/genre but GW fans seem to have more such moments
Odds are you last less than three months. I'll put a hamburger lunch on the line. |

Get yourself some Average dice then. Eliminates those pesky 'ones'. |

I've been known to do worse on a consistant basis. Back in the day when we played D&D I tried playing Barbarian characters & was lucky to get a 13 strength. |

"I needed 10 saves on a 5-6" and you rolled seven 1s. Okay, that is actually lucky, in a way, since that's the same as rolling 1 through 4 seven times (in terms of game impact). Now, if this was a case of 2+ saves and you had rolled the 1s--that would be atrociously bad luck. As it was, just annoying luck (assuming none of the other rolls made a 5 or 6). Looking on the bright side, Rob |

Actually Blake's luck with [bad] dice rolls extends to all games. He almost a dice rolling legend locally. Fortunately he also is a great sport and takes it all in stride. |

I once rolled 72 "1"s in a row in a game of 40K Rogue Trader. I had 36 models, and went first. I missed all of my initial rolls to hit, and all of my armor saves. Game over at the bottom.of turn 2. Bad luck is real. |

Find a game system where you need to roll low numbers and you will rock. |

I feel for you. I'm in the same boat. In my group my rolls are so far below the statistical norm that it's also legendary. I once lost 9 of a 10 man terminator squad to bolter fire on 11 hits. Rolls like that belong in Star Fleet Battles not 40K. Changing gaming dice (numerous times) did nothing to change my dice luck so I bought into the casino dice gambit. 50 tests of 18 casino dice dropped in a dice tower have me thinking that I have have found a cure to the dice curse. About 85% of the tests came in with results above the expected value. |

I've played Campiagns worth of Johnny Reb and never rolled more that 7 (2D6). It is all how you plan and compensate |

I've rolled 10 6s on 10 D6s to make armor saves more times then my friends would like me to ever have done. |

Yup, which is something that does not happen often but many of us of had bad rolling of the die. I once rolled snake eyes with my Dual Pulse Laser Eldar Titan several times in a roll and on the last time I rolled a 1 & 3 so finally got to hit something. I have also had the dice go in my favor as well. Like when I needed to make ten 5+ save on my Harlequins. Saved 8 of them, let's just say that my Blood Axe opponent was not a happy camper. |

I've not only rolled 7 1's on 10d6, I've rolled 10 1's. Followed by 10 more. They were dangerous terrain tests for my (40k) squad. Followed by 10 armour saves (failed). Statistics look at my dice and go "Yeah, about that?" |
