This just came out of the blue, a new minis company called Haste games enters the plastic business. A little unsure if their first attempts are suppose to be "totally not warhammer proxies" seeing they called their human faction "The Empire". Though the look of their swordsmen are considerably more armored than the average warhammer empire soldier. Everything they say are suppose to be extremely modular to ensure customization. Though no solid info on when these might be released methinks. facebook.com/hastegames

It's a Kickstarter starting in mid March. Not necessarily a bad thing but we won't be seeing these for a while. |

You mean 'not' warhammer empire proxies which in turn are not 16thC real world Holy Roman Empire troops, honest guv, these are totally fantasy and any resemblance to landsneckts et al is purely coincidental

When I saw these my first reaction was, "Oh, Lord Kalvan of Otherwhen!" These could work quite nicely for Styphon or other forces from the Lord Kalvan alternative Earth timeline of H. Beam Piper IMHO:
Hmmm
the possibilities

Excellent idea, BlackWidowPilot! Must go back and re-read the Lord Kalvan stories. Grelber |

I would love to read Lord Kalvan again. Always wanted Down Styphon the rules set back in the day. The minis put me in mind of Westeros. A bit. |

We await the Little Fuzzy batallion. |

These Haste figures look like they could pass for early 17th Century Poles, Lithuanians, or Swedes -- potential opponents for Turks, Cossacks, or Muscovites. |

You can still buy Down Styphon from FGU. I bought them last year. |

A shame that they aren't historically accurate, as that era is poorly served in 28mm plastics. They do look quite stunning, however, and I would buy some if the price was right. |

These look great, I messaged the guys (the PR guy?) about their background. They have done a lot of work for video games apparently. Dragon age, Star wars the old republic, The Elder Scrolls and some others I forgot. Definitely an artistic bunch. I hope they don't piggy back on every aspect possible just to serve as cheaper version of GW minis but create something original. A few staple races I can see. But it they were to start making "Not Tomb Kings" and "Not Mayan/Aztec/Inca Lizard men" then

Looks like they are even closer to "Totally not WFB Empire" seeing they are aiming to add in a 'War Priest'. Guessing down the road there will also be a Witchhunter? They look decent for the price painted sample of their Heavy Knights

They look better than Mantic. Cheaper and not ham fisted like GW. I'm backing. I hope I don't regret it. At least they are hard plastic like GW and not that terrible restic. That material made me miss metal. :( Is sounds like they have plans on developing their own fantasy races. Sounds good if it ends up turning into something bigger. I see why they would piggy back off of staple fantasy races, but would love to see something new. |
