Finished the first squad of NSL infantry from GZG. These are a mix of the earlier releases and the new ones with visors down. Very nice sculpts! The colour inspiration comes from the EDF troopers from Red Faction: Guerrilla and will be used as such on my Mars Table.

Which rule set are you going to be using them with? They turned out great.

The troopers are amazing, I think your bases need more contrast to bring out the texture, though.

Agree with Allison, the models have a very strong PJ -- blending the base edges with the base colour and giving the top base more depth will really seal the deal and put the PJs into serious wow territory.

Great painting. Are you doing the LPL this year FB?

John Treadaway07 Mar 2014 11:20 p.m. PST

PJ… LPL…. FB…. ?

Too many abbreviations I genuinely don't understand…

But – nevertheless – great paint.

I think I may have found my "Hammer's Slammers" infantry

Fire Broadside08 Mar 2014 4:28 a.m. PST

Thanks for all the kind comments and suggestions guys!

NSA and Khurasan, I agree that the basing could probably do with an update. I've done my Mars bases like this since… forever. Although they do have more depth in person, some extra shading might be the way to go. Will experiment a bit!

Dr Mathias, every year I hope to be able to get back into the Lead Painter's League (there you go, John) but time just keeps on slipping. Never say never though! :)

Thankyou, Fire Broadside.
