Curious, the site opposes recasts yet, I wonder if they paid a nickle to the heirs of Frank Frazetta to use that image? Mugwump |

I have a lot of books as well as digital copies of a lot Frazetta's art and I cannot place that as a Frazetta picture. The figure definitely looks to be inspired by Frazetta. |

Yes it''s a Frazetta line drawing in the Nelson Doubleday 1973 hardback book club edition of "The Mastermind of Mars and A Fighting Man of Mars." |

Looks like that spike on her helmet may get in the way of her strike. |

Her face is beautiful, but her expression is not that of somebody determined to kill another person. Still, if it were available in 28mm . . . Grelber |

About her face
I take note some kind of "satisfaction" in the act of killing him. Amicalement Armand |

More armored nipples
Silly indeed, but put the blame on the peculiar titophobia of the prudish U$ market: because of it most of hot (i.e. supposedly living in a hot climate) feminine Ancient figurines, while belonging to (historical or fictional) not-Abrahamanic cultures, have to wear 'nipple masks' like Mormon burlesque dancers. The silhouette is typically Frazettan (small breast, rather plump at the waist and below). In 28mm and alone, would have a lot of potential (even if 3D sculpting looses some detail). |

Note the chain on the right wrist extended. Very SM. This is clearly shown on the Frazetta drawing provided on the link. What is noticeable is how short-waisted the figure is. What is always strange to me is the "why?" Take the very silly "knife" (which is obviously a stylized sacrificial blade, not one for combat" out of her hand, and the perfectly silly helmet and let her be completely nude and toss away the male figure and it would be a rather nice and artistic sculpture. It's the juxtaposition of the very violent images with the sexual that's a bit off-putting-- not because of any psycopathia, but it's just silly. |
