Hello please does somebody own this mould from P August which allow to cast some Early Napoleonics 25/28mm French Line Infantry? ..i could be tempted to buy it in order to fill gaps among my French Republican Units..my armies for the period are composed small/medium 25/28mm scale like Foundry, Mirliton, Touller, Charriot, Og..unfortunatly not compatible with Eureka or Trent new French revolutionaries types..so this P. of August mould could be useful if the figures are compatible with the above mentioned ranges..also i could'nt buy Wrlord plastic because they are in trews and i would need some standard/smart bicorne type infantrymen thanks for your appreciated advise link |

I would doubt that these "home cast" figures are going to match. I've seen some, but not cast them, and they are nice but no match to casting machine. |

I have this mold, and made some of the figures a few months back. They are very nice, but because they are slightly larger than the older "Waterloo" moulds, I probably won't use them in the future. Again, the quality is good. Not having any figures by the other manufacturers, I can't give you a comparison. And I don't have the figures I made anymore – when I realized they are bigger than the other moulds, I threw them back into the melting pot, and they came back as a Prussian musketeer battalion. However, this gamer uses them in his games, I think: murdocksmarauders.blogspot.com If you look carefully at some of his Napoleonic game pictures, you can pick them out for comparison's sake. And in general, I like my Prince August figures – its great to cast what I want when I want it, and the "old school" feel to the enterprise suits me just fine. Good luck! |
