Nice! I wonder how easy the details are to paint, though. Doug |

Look very nice, is the road 6" wide? |

Looks more like 4", if they are 12" tiles. @Sharkmountedone: 30mm seems a little small for a tile. Did you mean 300mm (it's close in size to 12" – 30mm is closer to 1 1/5" ) |

Oh my God! Stunning. Dan PS. Just curious, shouldn't it be "Laser-Mounted Sharks"? As in sharks mounted by lasers? Maybe I'm overthinking this. |

Thanks for all the great responses! Let me address the questions right quick. First of all, the roads are about 4.5" wide curb to curb. Chrome, you're correct- I meant to say 30cm. I was raised with Imperial measures and get my units mixed up occasionally. As for the details- I'll hopefully be getting some of these painted up soon, but as with the etching I put on the buildings, it's plenty deep to pick out and survive a heavy primer. Additionally, I'll be doing a stencil set with various road specific imagery to make them even easier to snaz up. Dan, as for your question, your over-thinking will get the best of you when querying a man who has sharks with "freakin' laser beams attached to their foreheads." |

Chrome you're right, even 6" is a little too narrow, otherwise these are spot on for what I want. |

I wonder if they can flip the street arrows so they're facing the right direction for those of us in the colonies? That and sort out bloody international post. I've asked them at least half a dozen times across different news announcements, and they don't seem to want to answer. |

Splod,I've asked them about wider roads, got a reply within 2hrs! the road markings could be sorted with the paint stencil, they talked about. Hadn't noticed the postage thing till you said
but how hard can it be to send overseas? |

but how hard can it be to send overseas? Not so much "hard" as "expensive". Using USPS international flat rate (which is usually the cheapest, mind you), you're talking about $80 USD for a stack of 12" tiles 5" tall or so. MDF is really too heavy to ship internationally. If I got a laser cutter, I'd probably go into business licensing a lot of the cool MDF designs that aren't made in the US, just to save on shipping. |

I use black craft foam and have my buildings on 1/8" hard board and it looks pretty good. But I don't model grates and haven't gotten around to putting lines on the roads. |

Regarding international post, I really don't see why all these garage laser companies can't just license designs to each other, then we could all get any product cut and shipped from our own country. I bet the savings would attract enough new customers to offset the extra bookkeeping. |

Licensing for a small company would be a big risk or act of trust depending on your point of view, it would be great for the customer, but maybe more trouble for the company. |

Nice, is there a "transition" piece to get from your product to the table top? i.e a asphalt-to-dirt road piece? |
SharkMountedOne | 18 Mar 2014 2:45 p.m. PST |
@Vonted, that's a brilliant idea! I'll see what I can do. Also, we've started doing International Shipping through USPS. It's expensive, but it's there! |
