You inspired me so I got the ranger scalping the Indian and the fellow with the tomahawk scalping the ranger. What did you use for bases? |

I just used artist board cut to shape. There are companies out there who do supply pre cut bases though, if that's more your thing. I can't tell you who supplies them in the States though. |

I ended up using some thick cardboard and wood putty. So far it looks pretty decent I need to figure out a good way to make mud effects |

Have you tried fine sand mixed with brown emulsion paint? |

No I haven't. The wood putty I used is pretty gritty I was going to try paint with some water effects like the model railroaders use. |
