What would you learned gentlemen say is the smallest area in which one can play a 28mm game of the above? For the record the armies will be around 500pts with no armour. Thanks. |

I would say nothing smaller than 4'x 4' my opinion if you were gaming 20mm I would consider 3'x 3'for infantry no armour. |

28 mm I'd stick with a 6x4 still which would give more room to manoeuvre – 1000 point on a 6x4 always feels cramped (which is why when we are not playing tournament style games our group play in 15mm but keeping ranges etc same and a 6x8 when using armoured platoons |

For armies of that size you could do 3x3 if the table was full of terrain. |

500 points can be done on a 4x4 |

Thanks for the input. I am going to have to plan and cut boards later this week. |

Keep in mind the weapon ranges of the game. Rifles are 24" so a 3x3 leaves precious little room for maneuver. I'd say 4' square would be the minimum. Of course, that's if you're tied to 28mm. You can go 15mm and measure in cm in which cases 3x3 is plenty of room. |

I'd agree with yoakley, with enough terrain you can go 3*3. I've played on my kitchen table that's only 80 cm wide (i e less than 3'), that's probably a bit tight, but still I had a fun game. |

I agree: If you fill the table with LoS blocking terrain 3x3' is more then big enough. I love playing on a table where your lucky if you can get a Los longer then 20" with some roads or streets that can see maybe 30' even on a 5x8' table. |

we have done up to 750 pts on a 4x4 table, but it was a heavily terrained village setup, so fighting alley to alley and such, worked fine. I would suggest 6x4 if you plan on using tanks though, they tend to eat up ground quickly |

I think I may start with 4x3 with a view to doubling up. It is going to be a part wrecked village part trench board
