Hello:

Have been searching, with no luck thus far, for someone who manufactures "U.S. Eagles" for mounting on the staff above the national flag. Any suggestions most welcome...

Try Colonial Connection. They carry the Hinchliffe line and Museum Miniatures here in the US. I think I got mine from them.

Thanks for the advice, I'll pursue my eagle quest there.

Hi Michael:

Did you ever find an answer to this question - did either of those sources work out?

Also, I am looking for a decent source for Civil War flagpoles - I hate putting my GMB flags on florist's wire. :( For a while I had some decent spears/lances from some manufacturer but I've used them up and haven't had the energy to search for another supplier. Anyone have any thoughts?

Pax,
Almost any decent hobby shop carries metal rods in all diameters. I use brass rods because they will bend a little, and you can file points on them much easier. I also flatten them with a pair of pliers, on the top and file to a spear point. I've injured myself on steel rods. Somtimes you grab them and they go right into your finger, even if you don't file a point on them. Ouch!

I am reviving this thread because I am having trouble finding Eagle Finials. Can anyone point me to where I can buy some?
