I really appreciate the orders received from customers for our Fife & Drum Miniatures for the AWI. I realize that there are many alternative ranges and sizes of figures to choose from, and so the fact that you choose to order some of our figures is very meaningful to me. To show my appreciation, I usually add some free samples to each order.

Now I want to make this a policy for all Fife & Drum orders: when you buy some of our figures, we give you some additional free figures with each order.

You said what?

Yes, each Fife & Drum order shipped will always include free figures.

For example, if I see that you are ordering cannon, I will throw in a free pack of artillery crew to man those guns. Or if you order some firing line figures, I might add in some other varieties of skirmishers that would work nicely with what you ordered.

And for our international customers, we will continue to offer a flat rate shipping charge of $10.00 USD per shipment in order to help keep your costs down.

There are a lot of new products in the pipeline for this year including more dragoons and lots and lots of Hessians, plus a few surprises that we will reveal later this year. You have helped to make it possible, so we pleased to send a few extra goodies back to you with each order.

damn you, for doing your best to be competitive an take my money. I may have to reward you sometime soon by giving in!

I'll be painting some of your figures as part of a commission sometimes soon, which will be the first I see(in person).

Congrats on the success!

What size are these guys? I haven't done AWI before, but its one of my dreams. 20mm? 28mm? Heroic 28mm?

28mm

I really like them. They fit on the table very well with my Perry and foundry figures. They are better proportion wise than the others so I don't mix them together in a unit, but a unit of their own looks great.

I am waiting for my dragoons to arrive from the kickstarter soon. The figures that Jim has posted look great.

Also, they are a joy to paint.

They are done in 1/56 scale, which is approximately 30mm in height. They will look slimmer than most 28mm figures because they are made to a scale rather than to a size. As a result, the torso, appendages and head have a realistic/lifelike proportion to them and all weapons will be made to scale, so parts are not over-sized or undersized in any fashion.

15mm, 20mm and 28mm figures are sculpted to a "size" rather than to a scale. There is nothing wrong with that, but people often get size and scale confused for the same thing.

As far as I am concerned, they "fit in well" with Eureka, Foundry, Old Glory, Kings Mountain, Perry, Front Rank…
Heck, even with Hinchliffe and RSM.

Ask for samples!

I hope that one of the "surprises" is Washington Crossing the Delaware. evil grin
No, I do not have any pipeline of information.

When the owner of a rival company (Kings Mountain) kicks in a tidy sum for the Kickstarter, you know that Fife and Drum are great figures.

I've just had my first order arrive from DAF, firstly can I say it was a real pleasure having my wallet emptied by him.

I cannot recommend Jim or his figures highly enough. I bought Hanoverians rather than AWI, but they are wonderful figues…
