So far my line of Mecha Front models has been in 15mm scale. However I'm tweaking the 3d work so I can start offering the same models in a smaller 6mm scale. Here's a rough projection of how they'd scale.
Here's a break down of one of the mechs from concept to finished model.

Very nice. I wonder if they will still work for 15mm for the cash strapped gamer. That 50mm tall mech I could see myself using in 15mm games. |

Just my opinion, but I'd prefer to see them a little smaller for 6mm. The smallest one shown, is as big as that warhammer (if not as tall). Maybe 30mm, 35mm, & 40mm? A thirty foot tall light mech is pretty darn big. Great sculpts though! It would be fun to field a dozen of your designs in 6mm. |

There's a fair amount of scale creep in the btech line since the old school warhammer sculpt. Some of the lights like the wasp are in the 33-35mm range while the locust are at 40mm. Newer minis tend to be a bit bigger. The larger 15mm version of the light stands around 28ft in scale which would put it at 30mm tall in 6mm scale but it seemed pretty tiny when I sat scale print outs next to other mechs especially considering they are multipart and would be very fiddley to assemble. I didn't aim for an exact scale, just went more with what would look good on the table and in comparison with the other weight classes. Hopefully there's enough of a size difference at a glance to tell which weight class they should belong to |

That sounds like a good approach. Looking forward to seeing a a test print next to some infantry and armor. |

Yes I said yes I will yes. I love the idea of bringing them to the 6mm scale, even if they are a bit big. I don't mind in the least. |

So, are you going to manufacture these? Do you need some advice on IP? – copyright, design & trade mark. |

I've added a 6mm section to the website and I've placed the 6mm version of the Lynx up for pre-order. link I expect to have the master in hand late next week and I should have them shipping out by the end of the month. I'll be making 100 copies of these in resin, after that they'll end up being produced in metal and available as part of the upcoming Kickstarter (which will only be for the 6mm models). The metal models likely won't be available for 6-12 months. So if you want the 6mm version well before the KS delivers, or prefer resin over metal you'll want to put in an order now.

Very very nice. Just out of curiosity what is the huge mech in the top row, right hand side in the first post ? |
mech dude | 21 Mar 2014 2:35 p.m. PST |
The huge mecha is the Noram Kodiak, it's a quad legged mecha. It will be made available in the kickstarter. Now that I have a couple casts done here's some scale shots along side some other models

Got mine in the mail already, gorgeous models, no print lines whatsoever. Very reasonably priced for the size and quality too. I'll be into the kickstarter deep. |

Glad you like them :) I was really impressed with how the prints came out, which of course reflects in the quality of the resin casts. I've got the master out for metal casting and should be able to green light the KS once I have the test pieces in. Also if anyone is attending Adepticon this week I'll be there running demos for the game. I'll have some minis to hand out to people who give the demo a try.

The kickstarter is coming to a close in the next two days, lots of 6mm options have been unlocked so make sure to take a look before it's over. link |
