Now it is "production will complete
.." Relic Knights just slipped in another two/three-month delay: "We have a couple production updates for you today.
. We have also been told that manufacturing will be complete no later than mid-April. We will continue to update you as the factions complete manufacturing, move to packaging, and then shipping." Read: "what with packing, etc, another three month delay, and if we have another one after this – hey
that's what THEY told us!" Pushing what
two years now? Not sure if I care any more. |

I'll still be happily surprised by what will completely feel like a free game and pile of minis whenever it arrives, I can't even remember now what I paid for without an archaeological expedition to go find files. On the other hand, also got this note from Impact Miniatures' Chibi Asian Adventurers just 2 hours before the RK one: "Now I've been told that a miniatures KickStarter shipping 2 months early might break the fabric of reality
but we are going to risk it. " |

Hey, it ain't bread or milk-- I can live with a later arrival of any Kickstarter. As long as I get it eventually. It's not like I don't have MORE than enough other things to paint and play with. |

All I can say is this – a lot of things – VBCW, War of Ashes, Baron Wars, etc. have got my attention and my money in the interim. And while it takes weeks or a month for say Gripping Beast or Zombiesmith to deliver, that is still within the usual life of my interest. Two years is not. What will probably happen because the spark that was there two years ago has died, is I most likely will see this as a net loss and conversion into cash when it arrives, and that is kinda sad. Unfortunately, I suspect I may not be the only one thinking about the rush to eBay when it arrives. |

I am much more disgusted when the figs come and look like crap. Even if they beat the schedule! |

Thought you could not start another until one is done. Hope it is not as bad as Sedition Wars was, though not much could be. |

Just to point out that it is a division of Soda pop that is doing the Robotech miniatures, so if you think Relic Knight is running late, I'm betting Robotech will be just as bad or worse. |

Still waiting for my Judge Dredd Pat Wagon, 14 months late now. Most of the time they do not even mention it in the updates anymore. Thinking about requesting a refund. |

Actually, Relic Knights might still wind up not being much more than a year late. That project is really a case study in how terrible to non-existant communications (i.e. what they had until about December 2013) can blow a delay well out of proportion. In particular, the initial announcement of a delay would not have garnered anywhere near as much of a backlash if it had come across credibly; that would've kept all subsequent negativity at lower levels, as well. |

I backed 'Winter War' by Gavin Tyler and he has been pulling his hair out because he is likely to end up being about 3 months behind in the end! I think this is the difference between kickstarter creators, some actually 'care' about letting down backers (through situations 'mostly' not of their making) and those who just don't really give a damn. Been reading another thread on here about a 'comic' kickstarter where the creator has basically just shoved 2 fingers up at the backers, so I guess really the fact that some companies are a year or more behind isn't as bad as some backers end up with nothing! |
