Seriously, is that a spear or a stripper pole
I was hoping for more classical Greek style Amazons. |
Chuckaroobob | 03 Mar 2014 11:07 p.m. PST |
They say its a pole dancer, so I guess its a pole. I think they're kinda neat. Makes me wonder where my Shadowforge Amazons are now. |
Mardaddy | 03 Mar 2014 11:16 p.m. PST |
I'd buy em if the price was right. (miniatures, mind you.) |

Heaven knows, there are so few near naked, weapon wielding, female miniatures out there. This should really fill a nitch that has long been overlooked by the hobby

Not sure the "virtual gold" stuff is such a good idea. Sure, it may have looked like one at face value (flexibility and all that), but I think it'll come across as a bit confusing/intransparent for many potential backers. P.S. Isn't miniforge.pl their website? That being inoperative with an error message won't really help, either. |

Costume party at a strip club. |

So with a "April" delivery date, is that when you get your nonexistent coins or your minis that are still just sketches? This KS is confusing. Even if I was interested in them, I would pass on this. |

Ummmmm. Yea, virtual coins. I'm running to sign up for that one ;-) |

Just sketches? Not even greens? Kinda dubious about this one. |

Where is my card! Oh yes
safe in my wallet where it will stay until I actually see ONE KS deliver. |

I am happy with my Egyptians from Indigogo. $29 USD for a 28mm fig? Too expensive |

Why the vertical ribbon down the nipple? Is that a uniform or dysfunctional armor? |

Now, that's funny :) |

All will rest upon the skill of the sculptor -few military miniatures specialists are really able to pay homage to feminine beauty. A good range of fur-clad amazons would make a pleasant Aryiki army TMP link (search the TMP forum for 'Aryiki'). A nice complement to the Maidenhead link and Shadowforge 'Tribals' link ranges. Such an army can be fielded in any period from prehistory to the future: adventurers / explorers / pirates can discover such a culture in a 'mysterious island' / 'Skull Island', in a 7th continent 'at the Earth's core' à la Pellucidar en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pellucidar, on Mars

pathetic, it will sell well no doubt. |

Yes the Maidenhead and Shadowforge Tribals are great minis. But these drawings
., really silly poses. I would not buy them. By the way, even for great mini's, their prizes are much to high. I guess these guys should seriously rethink their project. |

Not getting a huge amount of support – quite a surprise : I wouldn't buy them, but I thought they'd be more popular. |
OSchmidt | 10 Mar 2014 1:44 p.m. PST |
I'm dubious on this one. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that these are "concept sketches." I can't see actually making these things. A bit too Las Vegas. |
Freak from Vienna | 10 Mar 2014 4:19 p.m. PST |
No, I'm not surprised this is failing. The only good thing about the sketches is some are so absurd it's funny, the virtual gold scheme is idiotic (with the figs too expensive), the project is run by some er who apparently hasn't manage to digitally sculpt more than a mediocre head, oh and let's not forget it's on that less-than-backer-friendly crowdfunding platform. Now if the project creator could be arsed to and were capable of showing off a well-done digital sculpt or three, backing might skyrocket. But this is all cat-in-the-bag so far. |

$175 USD so far. People definately are not fishing today. Indiegogo means they can keep all that big money too. |
