I have just been given 70 figures or so of Lancashire Games 15mm Samurai. Its a completely new period for me, but now I can see myself being hooked on it in the future. Unfortunately I have no knowledge of the other ranges of figures available. The question I have to those who know is what ranges if any are compatible. Lancashire Games figures do not seem to get many mentions and I wonder whether the Peter Pig, Irregular Miniatures, and Museum Miniatures figures which all seem readily available would mix in with my existing figures.

I have no experience with Lancashire Games' 15s so the best I can do is tell you that my collection of 15mm Samurai include mainly Two Dragon, some Peter Pig and a few Minifig and Old Glory 15s. If you find out that one of those manufacturers works with Lancashire then in my opinion the others will as well. Sorry I can't give you more than that. You can see my 15mm Samurai in my Samurai Gallery at warin15mm.com/page04.html

Depends on how critical matching sizes are to you.

The Lancashire Games figures are considerably larger (bulkier and taller)than the 2Dragon, Peter Pig or Essex ranges. Personally I do not mix them.
I think they would work better with the Naismith or Old Glory ranges which are somewhere between the two extremes, but they will still be the biggest guys.

Shame as the Lancashire civilian packs are superb miniatures.

Remember that even back in the 1500s, there were a few BIG guys (Musashi was quite tall, for example). But that was the exception, not the rule.

While I was in Japan, I could tell whether someone had grown up eating traditional Japanese meals or more western-style, simply based on how tall they were.

Check out the range I made for Eureka a few years ago, can't comment on the size comparison issue but it is a range that hasn't been mentioned as yet.
