I have the Osprey Agincourt and Crecy books, the very old ones. I have the WRG Medieval Armies Book 1. I will be painting about 20 Kniggets for a friend for the Historicon Warrior tournament, whose theme is HYW-ish. his approach is "the red unit", the "blue unit", etc. However, pride dictates that I do "authentic" knights. (Longbowmen are easy! ) So, is there a nice, inexpensive guide to English heraldry on the kniggets in the HYW? I realize there is a noticeable difference between the Crecy and Agincourt periods. An ideal guide would be a $20 USD book with at least 20 knights! |

Freezywater was the first thing that came to mind. They have books on the Siege of Orlean and plenty of reference to flags and heraldry. |
