Thanks chaps. I must say that it's been pointed out to me that multi-player rules are in the book onp102…! That'll be a lesson to me to read rulebooks properl…!

Any credit for table and miniatures has to go to my opponent – he provided them all. Well done, Dave…!

It's a great game-- this was a beautiful set-up and a very good battle report to boot.

As far as multi-player, we have run almost all our CoC games with 3-4 players and it works fine with just the one platoon per side. Just divvy up the units in the platoon between the two players on each side. Once I get more stuff painted up I will give it a go with the suggestions TooFatLardies have made about how to run a four way with each player having their own force and command dice.

Thanks Doug
An excellent AAR, really well done.
I will be trying my first game of 'Chain' at Cold Wars with some friends.

Excellent AAR with great minis and terrain. Looks like you enjoyed your first outing. Thanks for posting

Thanks for the comments on my terrain and minis. Figures are Valiant (1/72 but more like 25mm) and paint up really well. The tanks were some old stuff we had lying around. I use the Valiant for Normandy but have gone to warlord 28mm for other theatres. I will do a tutorial sometime on woods, roads and hedges. Quick and easy.

Should have added that CoC are the best ww2 skirmish rules I've played in 45 years. The historical narrative, as attested to by Doug's aar, is excellent.

Interesting approach to your woods! It looks as if all the foliage is supported on trunks and pops off when needed?

Great story line and photos in your AAR. The terrain is exquisite.

Great minis, great terrain and great AAR. I'm hoping to get CoC on the table tomorrow for the first time. I think it's my new favorite and I haven't even played yet!

Lovely work, well done. I'm a little bit obsessed with CoC at the moment, bolt action is fun but CoC is the first game i've played in a long time that really feels 'right' (ridiculousy nebulous, I know :) ).
