Please peruse and comment on my latest blog link, which shows the Microworld firmament army painted up as sand people in a desert setting. preview here;
and here;
blog link here; linkLook out for the pike phalanx; the lurkers and sneakers and the traditional sheep farm. The board is intended to give an advantage to the defence in HOTT and to encourage players to use lurkers, both water and ordinary. They are only of use if the enemy are going to have to go through the bad going, so here I put it where it will be hard to avoid. |

Hi, I have enjoyed watching you progress on your armies and terrain boards. What size are your terrain boards? Do you use HOTT rules or something else. Do the armies have a point size or is HOTT different? |

Well, that's different! Very creative – plus extremely well painted – nice work |

Thanks Msanders. The terrain boards are 3 by 2 feet. I believe the regulation size is 2 by 2. I made them larger to allow room to outflank and to accomodate possible oversize commands, or multiple command battles. I do use HOTT rules and at the moment, the standard size points are 24 for a command, with up to 12 being made up from 3 point elementsor over. That usually means six to eight smaller units, like infantry, cavalry or flyers and two or three four point units, like behemoths, heroes or mages. Aerial heroes, which can fly and attack a stronghold (how an attacker may win the game) cot six points and prove very popular, despite the cost. The hroes yu see above were designdso that players may ue them as either standard heroes, or aerial ones and they would not look out of place as either. |
