Here's why I want to use four-inch hexes for future games of OGRE:
I call this city Monopolis. More in this post at Super Galactic Dreadnought: link |

I like it! You may want to make blasted ruin hexes with which to replace the city hexes, as well. Doug |

I think you're going to end up with a map twelve feet long. But it will be awesome! |

Then definitely do the center dot rather than drawn hex approach. It will give you more freedom in building placement, and won't change the rules at all. |

After some reflection on the matter, IMNSHO, I think one can safely ignore the need for larger hexes by the simple expedient of ignoring the ground scale. Ogres are simply placed with their centre point over the hex they are occupying and allowed to overflow, which will also allow miniatures to be placed in the remaining space of the surrounding hexes. As for the use of buildings, I think that placing them on the points of the hexes, rather than centrally in the hex, will allow one to place miniatures around them, and won't adversely affect the game play either. YMMV. |

Very nice! Those might work great for a Godzilla scenario as well! |

We played OGRE with miniatures rather than Ogre Miniatures at the GZG con recently . he kept the buildins loose so he could move them as the OGRES entered the city. |

You might want to look up macrogre. I think they played a game of ogre in a high school gym. |
