Seems like you might want to re-contemplate the Pegasus rivers, they look like some of the painting techniques from this could make those really work well, while not the still water stuff, but some of the painting here with even just a layer or two of gloss seems like it would combine well for a rather sturdy river system |

Thanks guys @Borathan – The pegasus river is far better suited to be painted up as a sludge/lava river than a water one mate. I did a review of it a while back and found it sadly lacking for a piece of pegasus terrain

Wow. Very nice. Thanks so much. I was planning to make the shore "ring" out of MDF, but make the water surface using a thin sheet of garage sale sign plastic. I figured that would reduce the overall height by half. Dan |

Saw that review, most of your problems seemed to be aimed at the painting of it, something that looks like it would be easy to do with a repaint and a bit of flocking on the sides. Most people would end up repainting the edges anyway to match their boards. I've seen people near me using repainted versions, just not the normal
and adding a bit of gloss ontop of the water sections would probably make it work even more. It's still cheap and rather readily available. And the paint is decent enough to work until getting around to repainting it. |

True mate although I reckon the river text is far more suited to lava but that's just personal taste afterall |
