Hi
I am new to TMP but can anyone point me in the direction of one company producing figures for the Danes, Prussians and Austrians at 25/28mm.
Many thanks

Hello,

Eureka Miniatures makes 28mm 1864 Danes and 1864-66 Austrians and they also have a Franco-Prussian War range for your Prussians. Battle Honors (carried by 19th Century Miniatures) also has 28mm Austrians for 1859-1866, though I do not believe they have Prussians.
Hope this helps and welcome aboard!

Tom

North Star has a nice looking 1866 range if that helps any.

Sorry for my delay in saying many thanks for your replies. I had to sign off yesterday and do the housework or end up in the dog house with she who must be obeyed! I thought early retirement would have meant more hobby time, anyway I shouldn't moan.

I was hoping to stick to just one company's range so the figures would all be the same scale (sorry I can be a bit OCD about that). I think the best thing for me, given your advice, is to buy some samples from each of the producers and see how they fit scale-wise.

Perhaps Stuart is coming over for SALUTE this year, I could ask him about figures for the 1st Schleswig War.

Ta again.

There is no way at all to cover the Danish from a single manufacturer. I do wish I had bought From Waterloo to Mons stuff while it was still available. But even that was inf and Artillery only – not that the cav were v active. (I did buy every mounted officer I could – for FPW etc)

I suspect a lengthy limbo will continue. It must be a year since the range ceased production in the UK.

I think FPW Wurtemburgers are fairly close for the infantry.

Can anyone provide me with an email for Stuart Penhall

The Continental Wars Society have just acquired the Waterloo to Mons moulds, if you are still interested

Ian,

Are there plans to release the miniatures again or sell the molds to a company to produce the figures?
