I have some minis on order but want to get a little head start. Now I assume that a Star Ship on TOS like the USS Enterprise would be white (although the actual model was kind of a puke green but when lit and filmed looked white). But the movie Entrrprise, NCC 1701 refit and NCC1701A appear (under the Aztec effect) to actually be more of a light semi gloss grey. I'm assuming that pre-first movie Star Ships would also be white (I'm staying post NX1 here). Then I assume that post refit Star Ships like Excelsior would also be similar in color to Enterprise. Or am I totally wrong here? |

For the TOS era, the color entirely depends on whether you interpret the originals, or the Remastered version. In the Remastered version, the Enterprise is very definitely grey. As for the movie Enterprise, IMHO this should be white. This is how I painted the 1/1000 PL Refit Enterprise, based on feedback from the community (I actually used Tamiya Pearl White). Also IIRC this is how the Refit Era ships were painted under FASA. YMMV. Damon. |

I personally think they look better white. It also means you can paint in the saucer lines in light grey, if you want to. Mike |

Thanks, I will probably go with a black undercoat. |
