The Editors TMP page on FB isn't any fun to use. I guess he ignores it because of all the hell that was raised on here about having a FB page. I'm in a couple of groups on FB that are a blast, because we can share all different kinds of stuff with one another and it stays up for a little while for people to see. Plus its easier to get to know one another in a group than the way the Editor has the TMP page set up. So Editor how about a FB Group for TMP? Coabeous |

I'm a big Facebook user. That being said, I don't think TMP needs to be on FB. The site is very well organized and maintained. FB would just be a step backwards. I do think that their needs to be a "like" button on posts. |

I'm all for a TMP Facebook group, I think the Editor should start one now. It would have the like buttons that a lot of people like ( for the pun)! It's a lot easer to share and like photos and keep in touch with friends you like. FB is really likable. And most importantly if you dont want to join it you don't have to. As a matter of fact, if you don't like FB you really shouldn't join a FB Group, if you do your probably trying to ruin it for the people that really enjoy it. See you on FB, Coabeous |

I actually like G+ for game related stuff. I can mute updates to posts with a click plus if I want to run an online by – video – streaming game I can use Google hangouts super easy with the same people in the G+ group. |

I haven't jumped into the G+. When Googel took over youtube my computer really struggled and had a lot of minor problems. C |

I use Facebook mostly for family and non gamer friends. I use G+ mostly for Gamers and there is a ton of Gamer presence on it, including designers. |

You don't need a Facebook group for TMP; there's already a group for any miniature genre or interest you may have. Just join whichever you want, you'll find there is lots of overlap between the communities. Same goes for G+. |

I'm in the 15mm scifi group on facebook and it's great. Might be better to just make a few non-tmp groups and make a post about them. They tend to be better when they focus on a specific group and maybe even scale. So basically the boards here but on facebook. |

I understand that as far as the cool kids are concerned, Facebook is now passé. |

No point in having a TMP forum area if th Editor then wanted people to go elsewhere. |

if you do your probably trying to ruin it for the people that really enjoy it. Actually, that sounds like a good reason to finally join Facebook. |

Surprised there isn't a FB Group for those folks. Like. |

Where's the Editor in this discussion, he's like a vampire that only comes out on foggy nights and hides in the shadows pulling the strings. Editor, do you want Joe Blow to open a "The Miniatures Page" group on Facebook so you wont have to deal with it. Do you want a group? Do you not want a group? TMP is your universe, where do you want it to go? Coabeous |

So far in this thread we have three people that have admitted they like the idea of going to facebook to ruin it for other people. Makes me wonder why they come here. Coabeous |

I gather the demographic for Facebook has shifted to the over 50s. I mainly use it for family/friends stuff and hosting photos. There has always been some wargaming content on there but it never really grabbed me, however I find it useful for re-enactment groups. Can't say I've managed to find any decent wargaming content on G+ so some pointers would be welcome! |

Loads of content on facebook, it is the slow death of forums, not completely and utterly but for all intent and purposes near enough. More and more manufacturers are using it for releases, rules and club pages
.official and not. Do some searches for your favourite rules and figures Martin, search and ye shall find. Look for groups and pages and then look at what the people hooked in to those groups and pages are watching, easy peasy, some simple starters. link link link link link and my personal favourite link regards dave |

I get more of my news from Facebook pages now than anywhere else. And customers have told me they love having the updates and eye candy from our Evil Bob's page. I've gotten just as many inquiries from new people seeking our services from Facebook as from TMP, and some months there are more. |

Here's the link for my main FB group, Houston Area Wargamers link Good bunch of Guys. FB makes it easy for people all over the megalopolis Houston has become to keep in touch. We do all kinds of things. Coabeous |

More and more manufacturers are using it for releases, Many of them seem to want to limit the size of their customer base to the subset of customers who also happen to be on Facebook. When you try to go their page, FB wants you to sign in. It is possible to make a page public so even non-Facebookers can see it. Or are non-FBers persona non grata because if they can't give the company "Likes," what good are they? |
