Hello, I'm looking to put together a small viginette of a German WWII field mess / kitchen to be a Jump-Off point for Chain of Command. I found this excellent model and put in an order for it: link But now I'm looking for crew / chefs for it. Tamiya has their excellent "Gulaschkanone" model in 1/35 but nothing in 1/48 or equivalent. Anyone know of any good ranges of models that would work for chef or crew? I suppose they don't have to be German as long as the look like army cooks. |

If I were in your position, I'd go with some of the Warlord Games plastics. You can use open-handed arms, maybe scratch build a ladle or some such? Use the Einheitzfeldmuetze, then a putty apron. I bought one of these from a New Zealand (?) company in metal a while back, and it came with a plump, apron-wearing cook. |
