Hi, has anybody either been in communication with or ordered recently from Woodrow's? Despite previous discussion about their closure, their webstore's stock would seem to have changed recently. I wrote to them, but have yet to hear back. Some indication of whether they are still active would encourage an order

The business has been scaled back because of Darryl's health, but they are still in operation as far as I know. I received stuff from them recently. Also, I pinged Mark this morning and he tells me that their email was compromised, so they have a new one: woodrows[at]toysoldiers[dot]ca |

I have not been able to make contact with them for several months. |

I just placed an order, and got a (probably automated) confirmation of the order:
This email is being sent to you to confirm that "Woodrow's War Store" has received your order (# XXXX) on 2014/02/23. If you have any questions about your order, please feel free to contact Mark Wall at: markawwall (at) gmail (dot) com
I've mod-ed the email address for Mark Wall to confound the Spam Bots, but I'm sure you can reconstruct it if you want to contact him. I haven't written back to confirm if it's a "live" email. |

We hit a rough patch with health issues in our family business. We almost closed, but this situation turned into an opportunity to make the changes our business required. The streamlined version of our business is doing well. We are returning to our initial niche, 1/72 scale. All Warlord Games, Wargames Factory, Army Painter, Plastic Soldier Company and so forth is being blown out. We will focus on these three 1/72 lines: HaT, Pegasus, and Caesar, which we also distribute in Canada. We will still carry metal stands, Billy Vee two army packs, and a smattering of the best 1/72s, as they are released. Customers will notice more contact, greater efficiency, more coverage in our lines, more updates on the website, and sales more often. You can reach me at: woodrows@toysoldiers.ca. The old email mark@toysoldiers.ca is now defunct. I can also be reached on gmail at: markawwall@gmail.com. Mark Wall, President Woodrow's War Store toysoldiers.ca |
