I bought miniatures of Spetnaz and NATO forces years ago. At the time, I wasn't playing war games, and I wanted to experiment with camouflage patterns. Since this was before the internet and I didn't think the university library had any books on the matter, I didn't know how to find the correct patterns. So I just painted different patterns.

Fast forward to present day. I have a better idea on how to paint the units, but the thought of stripping the paint and repainting the entire unit makes me tired.

On the other hand, there's this image:

I don't really have to, since I'm either gaming solo or with friends. Still, it would be nice to have a cohesive look for the unit.

Many people just paint over the old paint, so you could consider that.

I wouldn't sweat it. I've seen photos of French in Indochina wearing Dennison smocks over USMC 'amoeba' camouflage pants next to other troopers in the same unit wearing OD & lizard pattern uniforms. Veteran units tend to mix and match anyway.

Sounds good to me. I did try painting over some of the old paint, but the new paint mixed with the old.

It looks like my link didn't work. Here's the article itself:

The photo in question is the last one in the article.

If you don't like the thought of painting over paint, give the figures a new coat of primer, then start over from the beginning

Thanks. I'll try all of the above and see which one works best for me.
