I just finished the Blitzkrieg Miniatures Marder II, and I'm quite impressed with the quality of the casting. The details are outstanding, and it gave me an opportunity to paint hard-edged geometric camouflage.

Very nice. How do you go about doing the camo John? |

Yes, very nice. Are you planning to add crew models? |

Is the muzzle break really that large or does it just appear that way in the photo? It looks like something that would be on a Tiger I as oppossed to a Marder II. |

Thanks for the comments. Let me address the questions. 1) the camo was airbrushed using a mask. I cut varying size strips of blue painters tape and carefully masked the areas I wanted to remain Middlestone. 2) Yes, I'm going to add crew. The crew set just arrived from Perry Miniatures and is going into the painting queue. 3) The muzzle brake is about the same size as the Warlord PaK 40 in the same scale. It may appear big as an optical illusion. You can look at some of the other photos on my blog for different views. -John |

Thanks John. I was hesitant to get one but now that you have explained it I will have to add it to my collection to go along with the Perry crew that I recently acquired. |
