Can you do it, or is it really just a two person game. I want to set up a con game, but 2 people are to few to justify a table. owen |

You can easily do it. While I haven't played myself, I've seen many people mention using four bands, or splitting up sides between multiple players. Or, run two small games side by side
or run several games in succession. Not every con game has to be a huge 12+ player affair. |

Yes, it works well – just assign different figures to players on the same side. They get to discuss which figure to assign the first card to, and whether to swap the low card after cards are revealed. They can also discuss whether or not to play cards from hand (or just give each player a hand of 1 card, that may be simpler) So long as each player has at least a couple of figures it will be fine. So I'd say up to 3 or 4 players a side would be OK. |

I just did it at our club Con. 2 separate games with 8 and 7 players, respectively. The gangs were split up as the players saw fit. The hand of 5 cards was reviewed by each side, and they decided when to play what cards. Same with the face-up initiative card, the team made the decision which model got it. Some things I learned: 1. The players have a hard time knowing when a card is eligible to be played. I was forever tellng them things like "No. That can only be played when you activate your model." 2. Old timers seem to want to measure each move action before they state their actions. So instead of saying "Jeb moves up to the corner, takes aim, and shoots that varmint with his pistol", they want measure to see if they make the corner, if the varmint is in range, etc. The kids that played actually got this concept the best: "I jump through this window onto the roof, jump down to the street, and run across to those barrels." 3. Stress the Hollywood cinematic nature of DMH from the start. See #2. 4. Shotguns aren't what they seem. I can't tell you how many times someone unloaded both barrels and rolled a 4 or less. You'll see.. I had a universal approval of the game and the system from the players. All 15 were brand new to DMH. |

Guys, I want to play a 4 player game but with 4 different bands. I am ok with 2 being goodies and 2 being baddies, but how can i use for example indians and desperados on the same side? Is the answer i can't? Andy |

I put on a 4 sided 8 player game. But I had to buy an extra deck to do it. Worked just fine. I see no reason you could not just have two groups on the same side, but still having thier own hand Owen |
