The popular Epic Imperial Knights are now in 40K scale. You knew the forces of the Imperium will get the big toys like the Eldar (Wraithknight) and Tau (XV-104 Riptide). These $140 USD models will make fine centerpieces on any 40K battlefield: Knight Templar
Knight Errant

Fliers were bad enough. These big items have killed the game for me. |
paintingden | 23 Feb 2014 4:54 a.m. PST |
Fliers can be dealt with. Unless this cost a lot of points which it should, or maybe limit them to one than it will ruin the game. |
Mr Elmo | 23 Feb 2014 6:38 a.m. PST |
Strangely, I want one. Maybe for old time sake. Its not finecast tho, is it? |
Pointy Faced Aardvark | 23 Feb 2014 7:12 a.m. PST |
I'd like one as as wreck for my Marines and traitor Marines to fight around, to add a bit of flavor to the scene. Though I guess any large scale robot would do the job.. |
Pizzagrenadier | 23 Feb 2014 7:26 a.m. PST |
I want one for nostalgia and because it's a cool model that looks fun to build and paint. I play 40k with a modified form of my own rules, so if this makes it onto the table it will be for fun with some friends. I can see a Knight/Stompa matchup. |
Frederick | 23 Feb 2014 9:05 a.m. PST |
Well, at least they look like they are fun to paint |
Space Monkey | 23 Feb 2014 9:24 a.m. PST |
If those were plastic kits I'd want one. Probably never to game with but I've always liked the Knights in Epic |
Garand | 23 Feb 2014 9:50 a.m. PST |
They ARE plastic kits Space Monkey
I'm planning on getting one
from an on-line discounter

Oh my
Well, I better start setting aside my pocket change. |

15mm Warlord Titan
Now, I just need to steal 10 of them, and I can do 5-a-side Adeptus Titanicus
Have to steal 'em, because most assuredly can't afford to buy 'em

Ivan DBA | 23 Feb 2014 6:37 p.m. PST |
I'm actually tempted. I might rationalize that it would make a good 15mm-scale Titan. |
Capt Flash | 24 Feb 2014 6:16 a.m. PST |
Yeah, I want one too. I have no problem with these over the top models. They look great and add to the fun factor to a game. I agree that it takes away from the tactical side if things, but why not play both styles of play? Warmachine is going that route too. It's all about the fun factor. |

It'll be interesting to see these next the the Dreamforge Leviathans. |
Puster | 24 Feb 2014 2:31 p.m. PST |
Yep – no chance that I even think of buying one until I see them next to a Leviathan. |
BlackWidowPilot | 24 Feb 2014 5:32 p.m. PST |
$140 USD? Hmm, I'll use $140 USD to add a whole bunch of armor to my 15mm collection, and have far more fun seeing them in action on the tabletop accordingly knowing I didn't drop $140 USD into a single model that will have a very limited utility on the game table even when I can use the beastly thing
Hmmm, I wonder how many tanks I can get for $140 USD from Combat Wombat or Khurasan, or Darkest Star Games, or Rebel Minis, or Old Glory/Blue Moon
Leland R. Erickson Metal Express metal-express.net P.S. Hmmm, I can get six Silers straight out of the gate for $104.00 USD:
Which leaves $36 USD for some extra support for the Silers

Lol, good point there, BWP! Love my growing 15mm collection, but I'll probably be getting one of the Knights this weekend! Gotta love Giant Stompy Robots! |
SouthernPhantom | 26 Feb 2014 9:57 a.m. PST |
Where are those tanks from? Are they 15mm/20mm/28mm?? |
WJAL21 | 26 Feb 2014 12:43 p.m. PST |
Khurasan. Massive 15 mm tanks. |
Mithmee | 27 Feb 2014 12:06 a.m. PST |
Unless this cost a lot of points which it should, or maybe limit them to one than it will ruin the game. Why, if it is anything like the Eldar Wraithknight you should be able to drop it by turn 2. The only reason GW is putting these things out is to suck more money from their Fan Boyz. GW figures most Fan Boyz will buy 2-3 and expect to suck around $300 USD-$460 from these Fan Boyz. |

The 1/100 (15mm) scale titan next to a 28mmm scale dreamforge eisenkern stormtrooper. You buy three of them for the price of one imperial knight, its still very big and bad, and it size makes it more practical for most sizes of game. |
IronMike | 27 Feb 2014 9:24 p.m. PST |
Day-UM! could those things be any more gorgeous??? |
Mithmee | 28 Feb 2014 9:28 a.m. PST |
Still not worth $140 USD and the point cost for them in game around 350-370 means that they take up far to many points for a 1500 or 1850 point game. Though it does have a better weapon than the Eldar Wraithknight. |
Capt Flash | 28 Feb 2014 10:28 p.m. PST |
Well, being the weak-willed little man that I am, I bought my Imperial Knight today. Is it worth the price? Of course not! But it's a pretty awesome kit! I guess I'll be buying one of the Dreamforge titans so I can power game over my buddies! Muuaahahahahahahahaaa! |
Bob Runnicles | 03 Mar 2014 9:05 a.m. PST |
Good for you, Capt Flash! That's the spirit :) |
wehrmacht | 14 Mar 2014 8:51 a.m. PST |
The Imperial Knight is awesome. I just finished assembling mine last night and hope to get it primed this weekend, still pondering a paint scheme though. I bought it from a discount supplier, still expensive but it's gorgeous. You gotta pay to play
the worst part is that it's inspired me to pick up an OOP Armorcast Reaver Titan as well ;-) Cheers w. |
