There hasn't been a Workbench article since June of 2012, yet I have heard that several have been submitted since that time. I know of at least one individual from UK who has been trying to submit a WB article but has had no answer from the Editor. I have one e-mail and two PMs to him about another issue over the last few months with no answer. Does anyone know what is going on? Is Mr Armintrout alright? The last thing I saw from him was October 1st last year saying that he was trying to get a new staff up and running. |

Wonder why he isn't anwering me? I can't think of anything I might have done to offend him. I would certainly appologize profusely if I had. He has always been enormously helpful in past conversations. I am just relieved he is apparently OK. |

There is now a severality of editors so you are unlucky not to have tempted one out from the shadows. Doug |

Well He does have a lot to do, though he is no longer responsive to external stimuli, the Editor still lies at the very heart of the Imperium's continued existence. Although he cannot be directly involved in the day-to-day running of humanity's galactic government, his existence on the Golden Throne is vital to sustaining the Imperium, since his powerful mind's presence in the Immaterium maintains and directs the Astronomican, the psychic beacon that makes possible faster-than-light Warp travel and is vital to shipping, transportation, commerce and communication. He is also said to constantly battle the Chaos Gods in the Warp and prevent their further intrusion upon the material universe. |

Perhaps aliens have abducted him. |

Hmmmmmmmmmmm, I'm thinking that someone's intellectual property has been pilfered? |

Perhaps he has returned to his home planet, as was foretold in the prophecy ? |

I've seen him comment on threads since then. But I'm too old to recall which ones. It is entirely possible that in the course of setting up new staff he has overlooked a stack of email about work bench stuff. It is easier to forget old emails than old paper. The old paper eventually obscures your desk/whatever. Old emails just lay quietly on your hard drive. |

The Kurgan took his Quickening. The Editor had forgotten what Ramirez taught him. On a side note, "The Prize" being the "Vampire" pledge level was something of a let down. Christopher Lambert doesn't even game at that scale. |

Classless, but not surprising. I do hope for the rest of ours sakes, some of you never make it out of your parents basement. |

All we are saying (thump thump) is give cyber-peace a chance (thump thump). |
Anthon | 23 Feb 2014 1:32 p.m. PST |
No, they don't want peace. Just the last shot/dig/word/up yours or big whatever it is that will make them feel better about themselves and garner the high fives from the other hard done by kids about how cute and clever they all are. I've been here for 11 years and missed several of them, in all their guises. But this is disgusting. Bringing in and playing around with people that have never lifted a finger to hurt them, in an attempt at
what? Revenge against the editor? These people have nothing to do with their holy war. But that doesn't matter does it? As long as you can justify things to yourself, that's all that matters. But in the end, you are the ones covered in, and playing with . The company you keep. Aplos if I've offended you though. I agreed with a lot of them, but this is classless. |

There hasn't been a Workbench article since June of 2012, yet I have heard that several have been submitted since that time. Plus a number of articles submitted before that time. Workbench is waiting for me to have available time. I know of at least one individual from UK who has been trying to submit a WB article but has had no answer from the Editor. I have one e-mail and two PMs to him about another issue over the last few months with no answer. Yes, I am also struggling to keep up with email (and, to a lesser extent, PMs). Does anyone know what is going on? Is Mr Armintrout alright? The last thing I saw from him was October 1st last year saying that he was trying to get a new staff up and running. The training of staff continues. They have made great progress. However, TMP is large and diverse, and there is much still to learn. Training also takes up a serious amount of my available time (as my wife points out, I am now working more hours than before I hired staff!). The really great news is that one of the assistant editors will begin graphics training this week. In the short term, that takes up more of my time; in the middle term, that takes one more large task off my shoulders! So I am optimistic that we are "turning a corner" with regards to the new staff, and that we will now begin to see the benefits after all of their training. |

I'm glad to know everything is progressing and you are still active. Which one of your staffers should I talk to about problems with my profile stats? |

Which one of your staffers should I talk to about problems with my profile stats? If you're talking about post counts, you'll have to wait for TMP 4.0 – the current problems are just symptoms of the server being overloaded. |

WHERE IS THE EDITOR? DOES ANYONE KNOW? Bill (or current Editor) I had a banner that was supposed to start March 1st. I have emailed you several times since our first correspondence and have gotten no response. I have resubmitted my banner and gotten no response. I submitted a news story and it got posted. I emailed a few more times about my banner and got no response. I hope you are not ill or have some other problems going on in life. I have been a fan of TMP and have visited the site almost daily for at least the last 15 years so though it may seem kind of silly I am feeling hurt. Please activate my banner and send me some kind of acknowledgement. Thank you. Kevin Chenevert email: kschenevert@att.net cell: (225) 202-7422 |

Bill resurfaced and fixed all of my woes. He did not say this but I think he must have just returned from a jaunt of extraordinary rendition in Albania. :0) |
