I've somehow wangled my way onto playing a rather amazing looking IABSM game at Salute this year based on the battle of Keren. So this week we played a warm up game.
Lots of pictures (and the tragic tale of Sgt. Reg Cunk's failed attempt to win the VC) on the blog link |

Must get along to see this game. My father was a sergeant in the 1st batt Royal Fusileers and fought at Keren as part of 5th Indian Brigade. He told me the story of how i got my middle name ( Ernest!) from this battle! While my dad and his mate were sheltering from the fire of the Italians above, my dad turned to his mate and said "Ernie, if we get out of this alive, I'll name my son after you"! Don |

Thanks chaps. I can take no credit – all the work of James, Scrivs and John. No full pictures until after the game demos at Salute. Try and get along and see it in the flesh. Or wait for the pictures after the event. Tom |
