kickstarter.com/projects/1744629938/dreadball-xtreme "Underground" Dreadball from the people who brought you, well, Dreadball. Asking for $100,000 USD, they hit their target in 39 minutes and are currently rocketing over $200,000 USD just over 5 hours later. The $140 USD pledge level currently gets you 47 minis and certainly more to come. |

No need to apologise to me, more I need to aplogise to my wallet. You can now get original Dreadball boxed sets, books and teams by pledging in the DBX kickstarter at a decent discount and even get the delivered prior to the end of the Kickstarter. This has made my wallet retreat even further. |

Sorry, after what happened with their fantasy Kickstarter, I'm done with them. |

I have no idea what happened with the KoW KS, care to enlighten us? |

I got my stuff just fine. However the plastic human infantry were a disaster and the sisterhood figures are pretty ugly and none of the two handed weapon figures fit together very well. It's growing pains I suppose but sometimes it really feels like Mantic is desperately running one kickstarter ahead of bankrupcy. Though it could also be that they expect the whole goldrush to come crashing down and are desperately trying to milk it for all it's worth before it does. Even so, I sure hope we get a KOW II and a Warpath kickstarter before it all comes crashing down. |

I somehow doubt they're "running one kickstarter ahead of bankrupcy". The Dreadball scene is pretty big and no one I know Kickstarted on that one, we all bought into it at retail. They do seem to have made a yearly Kickstarter "their thing" but that just means shortened lead in times to released product at retail rather than an attempt to make money from Kickstarter, which is something I doubt few companies have been able to do. |

And ends on 575K. I went up to Frezy on this one, probably foolishly as I'll never paint it all. Hey ho, the completist in me wanted it and I rarely have the willpower to tell him no. |

They have announce "no new Kickstarters for a while". Mantic has grown really fast. They need, in my opinion, to take a break from new games and work on the ones they have. * Quality control on the minis and packaging. * Move to hard plastic for all the minis * Assembly guides. That said, I backed DB Xtreme for $150. USD :) |
