I'm looking for a simple native hut for use in pirate games. Basically a circular hut with a straw roof that can be printed into card and assembled. Does anyone know if anything like this exists? I have spent a while googling for it but to no avail. |

You could go here for some textures and make your own. Just started doing buildings in Paint and it's not as hard as I thought. |

I thought about that but figured I'd never get it how I wanted. Maybe worth a go then! |

Dear Chris, If you'll give me today (note date), I can have one for you in 28mm (or whatever scale you need), ready to print as a PDF. You will be pleased with the look, I promise! If you take it, and like it, PayPal me $5.00 USD. If not, I can adjust 'til you do! TVAG |

Worldworks Games had two as part of their Skull Cove set, sadly no longer available. |

Thanks for your responses everyone. After reading punkrabbit's comment I remembered I actually owned Skull Cove already, but forgot it had native huts in that set. So thanks for the reminder. Appreciate the non-cardstock ideas, I'll file them away for when I have more time and the inclination! TVAG: Thanks for the offer. I like your other huts, so I may get in touch at a later date if you are able to offer variations. Thanks again, everyone. Chris |

Chris! I have the Round Thatch Hut in 28mm, with conical roof and a single door standing 2.25" high. A base template is provided which if mounted on foam board or equivalent can be set inside the walls and still allow bracing tabs on the walls to be glued under and out of sight. Like my other designs, photographic textures were used throughout, and I can still add windows, another entrance, etc, if desired. If it takes you more than 10 minutes to assemble with some white glue and maybe a paper clip for short term setting, I'll
refund your $5.00 USD. If you want to take the PDF, remember that you can make as big a village as you want! TVAG |

Patrick, Your huts sounds good and I too would be keen to see it. If it was in 20mm, I might be able to use it for the Rhodesian Bush War. Alan |

I've got one that I'm putting up on my site within the next few weeks to complement my oggum miniatures (its scaled at 20-25mm), its just my internet connection isn't allowing me to upload properly! It's free so if you want it, so if you want to send me an email I'll send you a copy of the pdf. Send me an email at grimacereaper73 (at) gmail.com if you like and I'll sort it for you. |
