Hi all,

I'm currently working on a 28mm steampunk project and I'm looking for models that can be converted into something like this:

I have some Gripping Beast english, which have the puttees, but would require quite a bit of greenstuff. Although I'm not averse to using greenstuff, I must say my modeling skills are somewhat sub-par – so the less the better (probably)
Does anyone have some ideas on which models might be suitable?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi there, although maybe not exactly what you're after we do a wide range of conversion and body parts that may be worth exploring.
Blatant sales plug over!

Try these, some might need head swaps.

Head swaps are not a problem. Thanks for the 'heads'-up (lame pun intended)

I looked at those actually, won't the high-tech-ishness be too obvious on these minis?

Don't know who designed the above figure but they didn't know much about body armour. Though I'd like to see the convert pics when you've finished the project.

I always thought it was more a cross between a rugby player and those pads fallschirmjager sometimes wore. Something to lessen the impact of an (inevitable) fall then to protect against weapons. But that's just speculation of course

Truly blatant would have included a web link. Just saying…

Come to think of it, you could put it on your profile, I think.

Don't know who designed the above figure but…

And we're back to VSF vs. Steampunk… ;->=

More of a sports shop I'd say Mr Beast;)

A collection of baseball and American football protection by the looks of it.

Come to think of it are there scale figs of sports players in those fields that could be converted?

Those getups look quite the part. I second the question about if such figures exist.
