Mr Ray very kindly let me know that he has created a new web page and forum for those fans of his wonderful book and the "bits" behind it. I have registered so hope the forum will be up and running soon as it looks like it could be an interesting place to hang out – a sort of virtual mid 18th century lounge. Looking forward to it. And before I forget: link Hope that link works. If not I am sure it wil cut and paste nbicely into a browser. |

It is a stunning looking and well designed web site. Terrific visuals. I'm impressed. I look forward to participating in the discussion group and getting previews on what is next for Nicholas Welch. |

John posted 42 pictures of his awesome ( and I do not exaggerate when I use the word "awesome" in this context) looking Ottoman Turks and Russians on the forum yesterday. The pix of the Ottoman cavalry crashing into the Russian infantry has such animation to it that you can almost hear the thundering hooves of horses and the blaring of trumpets. The flags, all hand painted by Mark Allen, are works of art and I am simply amazed that he has painted so many flags. So if you already own the book, then all you have to do is click on the link provided in the original post and register for the forum on site. It is worth it for the new pictures alone, and John promises to post more as his 18th Century campaign unfolds. |
