General Pettygree is in the Nile Delta when he learns about the Battle of Suakin in The Soudan here:

----------
See personalities some of you have come to know over the years, Gen. and Mary Pettygree, Col. Lawford and Countess Alexandra Elaina Volkanskaya in the archeological camp.
----------
Also see captioned images of the amazing Battle of Suakin featuring BIG battalions and hordes of the foe. I almost forgot. See a train bringing in reinforcements.

Respectfully,
Bill

Thanks Bill. A great read as always. Your Suakin was truly inspiring. My focus for the year is Sudan 1883-85 but in 15/18mm.

Looking forward to the next installment.

Huzzah! Another update from the General!

Reading the General's tales has been a great help to re-invigorate my own Shenanigans in Baluchistan. So many troops to paint…

A big thank you for this, as usual! I saw the post, poured myself a brandy, and enjoyed. Looking forward to the next installment!

Well, I've been hooked in once again. I'm eager to read the "daring" and "unusual" plan!

Excellent stuff, old chap! I see you are using Perry camels…they look a good size….do they work with the Connoisseur camels which are wonderfully large?

Many many thanks Gentlemen!,
I sure appreciate your kind remarks and sentiments. Really do! I took so many photos, the next chapter is nearly photographically done.

Jurgen – if only! See you on the sub-continent at the end of next month.

Sausagesca,
I don't know. The camels belong to Chuck and I've not seen them since last September. I may have only one Connoisseur camel; the one with Gordon on it in the previous chapter.
Thank you for asking,
Bill P.
