Nice. I'd really like to do some 1/72nd planes. |

I used fishing line stretched through holes
A bitch no matter how you look at it, and worthy of praise. |

A buddy of mine sells EZ-line for this kind of stuff. It's stretchy and works great for doing air plane lines. link It's cool stuff. I use it for various stuff. Antenna lines or guy wires in 15mm. I think it was originally invented for model rail road telegraph lines. |

I used thin brass wire dipped in a chemical called 'Black it', which as the name says blacken the wire almost instantly. I then clip the wire to the desired length and then glue it in place using super glue in gell format. It's tougher than thread. |

Lots of great ideas. So far the guitar string is working okay, but I'll definitely look in to the EZ-line next time. Thanks. |

Yes, I also use the guitar string method. But I use a dob of Elmer's white glue on each end, not "super/krazy" glue, too brittle. My planes are all gaming pieces. The white glue dries clear, of course, it also shrinks as it dries and forms a nice little socket for each end of the wire. Repairs are seldom and never stressful, because there isn't anything more user friendly and easy to clean up than white glue
