Can anyone steer me to resources on Russo-Jap 1939, possibly as specific as Bolt Action lists? (Was kind of irritated the BA Sov book didn't make space for it & the Jap book covers invasion of Manchuria which is way outside WWII era

You might want to look into Baron Ungern, the so-called White Devil Duke of Mongolia during the period. Plenty of skirmish fun between White Russians, Chinese of various stripes, the encroaching Red Army, Mongols etc

Hi Steve Most of the stuff I know of is at a higher level than Bolt Action. If you are looking at squad level then I would have thought that early war lists would be ok The Nafziger orders of battle has a high-level list for Japanese Forces in Outer Mongolia (Nomonhan Incident) June-September 1939. PDF link The Armchair General has a bit on the Soviets PDF link Baron Ungern-Sternberg died in 1921 Alan |
