So the other day I got my Kickstarter stuff from Empress and I have to say, WOW! Amazing, top stuff like always from them. I put in for the 20 Marines with helmets, plus the DEVGRU SEAL's. Here are some pictures!

DEVGRU SEAL's, which I was thinking would look different. I was very happy with how they match with the other Special Ops set they have out. They also come with the four tube nods like what was used in the raid, but I'm not going to put mine on.

The team with the Kickstarter ex mini. He fits in pretty well.

A picture of all the "free" minis. Frogman, SASR, Marine with the rocket, PLA.

And finally, the thing I know alot of us have been wondering. How well the Empress Marines match up to the Eurka's. Except for height(which, is fine) the gear seem to all match up to about the same size. The only major different I noticed was the front muzzle on the Eurka marines are different then the Empress.

Empress, Eurka, Empress, Eurka

If anyone has any questions I can help with or more pictures, just ask away. Again, I am overly happy with these minis and I can't wait to order more of the Marines to use in a Stargate game and a few of the other minis.

Do they come on those bases? Almost looks like they wouldn't need to be based.

Yep. They come on the same base all the Empress figures do.

Just got mine as well. Comparing Empress' and Eureka's Devgru minis:

Empress' are bigger, both taller and wider. That said, the difference is not significant enough that I wouldn't use them in the same squad. Even up close, it just loos like normal variations in human size. Eureka's have separate heads, Empress' do not.

Empress' Devgru figures are, in general, carrying more gear. They all have radios, mag puches, grenade pouches, etc. The Eureka minis are pretty much only equipped with extra magazines carried in the armored vest, with some exception.

Detail is very good on both, and I very much like both. Like I said, i'd have no problem using them together.

I have Empress SAS and Eureka contractors, and while there are some noticeable differences in style (Empress are a little slenderer, for example), at "gaming distance" they're effectively indistinguishable.

Voodoo21,

I keep forgetting to pull out my Eurka DEVGRU, thanks for the compare with the two.

I knew where my Marines were, but the rest are unknown. I knew the Afghans for both link up well enough, doesn't suprise me the DEVGRU and the Marines did to.

I received my Empress Kickstarter a few days ago.

Here is a WIP shot of one squad of Empress DEVGRU

And here is a Seal and NZ SAS soldier Willie Apiata.

There wil now be a two week pause as I have a business trip.
