I am considering getting into Micro Armor and would like to get infantry in MOPP or NBC gear for What If? scenarios. Does anyone make such an item? |
Mako11 | 13 Feb 2014 7:46 p.m. PST |
I don't think anyone makes them in Micro scale. Closest you can probably get is 15mm. |

That seems to be about as small as I can find them. I was hoping that someone might have known of a small manufacturer that went out of business fifteen years ago that made some so I would at least have a lead to track down at shows or on eBay. Maybe this is something that could be fixed by Kickstarter? |

I'd just paint the faces of the 6mm troops the dull green of the MOPP suit, call it good enough. |

Yea, I agree with Lion. If you're really ambitious, apply a little green stuff to each figs face, and shape as desired. |

Remember not all MOPP suits were "dull green" color. U.S. went to Woodlend Camo patern mid 80's. Not sure about other NATO troops. |

Honestly, in 6mm no-one is going to notice, just paint them green or camo all over. As above, if it really bugs you put a blob of filler over the faces. |

There are some in 20mm and 1/72 too
but OP is for 6mm- at that scale I don't even "flesh" faces and hands anyhow
just general colour , ink washed or 'stained' and dry brushed

U.S. carried their gear in bag on side of leg and below the arm pit above the waste. The wearing the carrier above the waste was for vehicle crews for going in and out of hatches. YouTube link link M-17A1

As has been said: In 6mm, who's going to notice?! British Mk II NBC 'Noddy' suits were a mixture of blue-grey and olive green panels in the 70s and into the early 80s (though the RAF was still using some of these into the 90s). They then changed to a bottle-green colour with the Mk III in the mid-70s and finally to DPM camouflage with the Mk IV from 1986 (though again, the green ones were still in use MUCH later and many Mk IVs were actually manufactured in plain green). Respirators, overgloves and overboots were black rubber, faded to light grey due to the use of DKP (Fuller's Earth decontamination powder). |
