I'm wondering if there's anyone out there who makes a flying power-armor-type miniature in 28mm. Something like the SAMAS from the Rifts RPG:

I found someone who did a clever conversion off a Space Marine figure, and will probably take a similar route if I have to:

I thought I'd found what I was looking for with West Wind's weird war Drop Trooper, but I'm looking for something with a bit of armament on it:

Any suggestions?

RAFM did the SAMAS as part of their Rifts line in the early 90s, a two-pack of one flying and one standing.

Oh yeah, should've mentioned that I was aware of the old Rifts minis. Didn't really care for them at the time, hoping to find something a little snazzier now.

Those Infinity figures are gorgeous! One of the things I really liked about the West Wind Drop Trooper, though, was the diesel-punky vibe; does anyone have any suggestions more along that line?

Warzone martian banshees. Void figs also might work.

Still have some of the old RIFTS armors -- now musty and dusty -- in their blister packs

foggybottom, if you have some of the SAMAS armour are you interested in selling / trading?

Yeah, those could go pretty well, too.

I don't mind paying "character" prices for minis where I'm only owning/fielding one or two of said mini. 5 euros a mini for squads is pushing my pain tolerance…

Me either, especially if I'm the Only one with those minis.
