The post count.
Back when it was "accurate" (was it ever?), I was apparently Ye Toppe Poster. When the stats first came out, I was actually startled, but came to enjoy the notoriety.
Unfortunately, some Bleeped textes and ignoramusses (ignorami?) used this to attack me, saying I was only posting to jack up my post count.
However, ever since the bottom fell out on the accuracy, I have not heard that. It silenced those annoying twerps!
So, while it would be nice for it to be accurate, meh… grin

Now, I DO think the stifle count is important, mainly because it annoys the easily annoyed. It does make the ratio's accuracy problematic, but if that annoys the same people, it's all for the good.

Too bad I forget what I typed that got bleeped. grin
Substitute something offensive, if you will…

John the OFM11 Feb 2014 10:18 a.m. PST

Ah, now I remember. "Male donkey" gets bleeped? Humph.

I actually miss the post count. It was actually in a reasonable range as opposed to this consstant up and down by an incredible amount throughout the day.

Now I have to agree with you on that. In fact, I am in total agreement. It could well be "The least important thing to fix on TMP".

Get rid of the Stifle Table though, eh? evil grin

How annoyed must an easily annoyed person get!! It's just annoying.

DISCLAIMER: This stifle thread was brought to you today by John the OFM and NOT heyjoe.

Neither count is important.

Something truly more useful would be more robust search capability.

John the OFM11 Feb 2014 11:09 a.m. PST

I have to agree. There are far more important things to fix.

I got an 8 day dog house for circumventing the profanity filter, by using a word that is considered everyday casual in New Zealand, Australia and the UK and is at least here in NZ is used on TV by our Prime Minister.

My, my. Looks like someone is a total tool. And a cowardly total tool at that.

moocifer11 Feb 2014 3:17 p.m. PST

The least important thing to fix is "Tango01".

I still find it hard to believe that Bleeped text-take is dh-able and the whole episode warranted an apology in my opinion.

A hired killer is often refered to as an assassin.

Least important thing? How it looks. I quite fond of the quaint mid 90s corporate blue vibe, it reminds me of Visual Basic. I am sure PhpBB can be configured to use a similar colour template.

I rather like things like transaction statistics to be accurate, it seems such a trivial thing to get right. If a computer system can't do basic arithmetic, then what else is wrong with it?
