While searching for info on Talon's Wild Karrde, came across this resin ship in 1/350 scale. Undersized for 1/270 X-Wing, but would still convey big ponderous freighter look quite well. Somewhat pricey, but it is 2.5 pounds of cast resin! (I think I'll stick with my plan of someday scratchbuilding one from styrene.) link

I never figured out why he needed a transport that big. Karrde isn't really a smuggler for the most part. He mainly deals in info. Maybe he just liked a bigger stateroom or something. Plus his copilot was hotter then Han's
well maybe not that wookie fur might be rather warm :) Of course Luke stole her away from him in the epic love story of guy meets girl, girl tried to kill guy, guy forces her into life or death situations were she needs him and then purposes. Zahn will be in Pensacola for Pensacon in a few weeks. Maybe I should ask him why Karrde needs a big ship :) |

I think the ship dates back to his more material smuggling days, and he already had his ride all pimped out on the inside. It does blend in to bulk freighter traffic. And has plenty of room to carry stuff as needed. What adventuring party doesn't want a bag of holding? |

Got to host Mr. Zhan one year, nice fellow. Even helped us stack chairs while waiting. |

The art of smuggling is to stash the good stuff amongst an enormous pile of crap and junk that no one wants to sift thru'
