Indeed, very nice work! As someone who totally despises painting horses, I must say yours are lovely and they show a nice variety in colors. What figures are those? I didnīt catch it in your blog. |

Thanks for the kind words and sorry for the oversight; they are Pendraken figures. Pendraken has a pretty darn complete range for the First Schleswig War, as well as lots of other 19th century conflicts. Regarding the horses, I too hate painting them. I have a book called "Cavalry" with hundreds of color plates of cavalry throughout the ages. When I feel I need horseflesh diversity, I thumb thru the pages and pick some variations. |

Iīm a Pendraken man myself, and I thought those horses looked familiar. I start off my cavalry wanting to paint nice horses like yours, but after the first three or four I just say the hell with it and paint the damn things brown! |
