I'm toying with the idea to get into SAGA and your AAR, figures, and photographs are a great reason to do so. I like the 'small' board set-up.

SAGA is great fun. I use it for pick up games with my friends, 4 – 6 pts, be over in less than 2 hours. Minimal figures/investment involved.
