Over meny years of wargaming I have see at shows and on this site beautifully painted and based figures that are let down by one thing, The edges of flags,standards,banners and pennants not being painted. I have to say they stick out lick a sore thumb. (now I have mentioned them you will see them every where) After gluing to gether and putting a nice wave in them they just need finishing off. |

I agree and I have always painted the edges. It makes a huge difference in the look. I also put nice waves and krinkles in the them. Unpainted edges and flat flags do not appeal to my realistic approach that I strive for! |

Yes it is a detail often overlooked. I always touch up the edges of my flags and pennants, and the creases formed when making waves in the flags. |
