"You'd think any old plastic carrier would do." Not really. This one has a chain deck which allows it to ignore enemy armor on ramming and doubles the strength of the carrier in the ram. Plus any planes launched from it count as having the Grinder special rule which means that enemy ships attacked by them have to re-roll successful saves. Add in that it is one of three carriers that can use the linked special rule to make simultaneous response attacks from up to 6 ships and you have something that is probably worth the price they are asking. |
